This week it's a set of 100s on an ascending sendoff. Of course, that means descending times :)
There are sets that ask swimmers to descend time while maintaining a certain sendoff. There are sets that ask swimmers to maintain time while tightening the sendoff. There are sets that ask swimmers to descend time AND tighten the sendoff. This week's set is a little different in that it asks swimmers to descend time while ascending (increasing) the sendoff.
In honor of Valentine's Day on Sunday, this week's set is a cardio challenge. It's not a lot of yardage, but it will test your heart in more ways than one.
With Halloween tomorrow, it's gotta be the classic "Satan Set."
When doing high-end speed or velocity training, what should the work-to-rest ratio be? By high-end velocity I mean max cycle rate combined with max distance per cycle using your race technique.
We are a group of swimmers who swim really fast, and like to help others learn how to reach their competitive potential in the area of professional swimming.
