I was recently involved in an interview process with a group of students from La Mesa, California. They were putting together a presentation based on the 1980 Olympic Boycott for the National History Day Competition.
There was a bit too much travel last week, but it was incredibly inspiring.
No doubt about it. There are some pretty cool events in the Winter Olympics. If you held a Winter Olympics at your pool, using the real WO events as your model, what would be some of your events?
Great interview by Garrett featuring my good friend Craig Beardsley.
I just received my copy of the Topping Point (short film) on DVD. Knowing that the money goes to support Husky Swimming Foundation certainly helps put us to order the video, I can tell you, this looks to be a very interesting movie.
While we were filming our video with Margaret Hoelzer, we had a chance to meet Svetlana Karpeeva, one of Margaret's training partners.
In GO SWIM FREESTYLE, Olympic gold medalist and world record holder Jason Lezak shares the key focus points that he uses to develop his awesome freestyle technique.
Just a little video borrowed from YouTube that is very fun to watch.
Do you think Michael Phelps could win Olympic gold in the OTHER 8 events?
Vote for Gary Hall, Mary T, the 1976 Women's 400 Free Relay, and the rest of your favs... but lets get the swimmers in there! http://www.teamusa.org/halloffame
If you had the chance to ask Margaret Hoelzer a question about backstroke, or anything, what would it be?
We're back from Seattle... no more chance to ask Margaret, but we'll keep these videos online.
No matter how many times you see an Olympic Medal, it's still very cool. Matt Grevers was kind enough to bring his two Golds and Silver to the ASCA conference last week. I had to stand on a chair to be eye level with him, but fortunately, he's a very nice guy.
We are a group of swimmers who swim really fast, and like to help others learn how to reach their competitive potential in the area of professional swimming.
