Hi Barbara!
Very inspiring your input. A question: have your tried breaststroke kicking with these drag socks?.. Your legs will be stronger than they already are. It is such a joy to feel the lightness and quickness of the breast stroke kick movements after the huge drag of the drag socks.
I wish you good health for many years to come!!! Reemi.

Barbara,
Terrific bio. Something else caught my eye - your 20 yard pool. I swam backstroke for Thomas Jefferson High School (1967 thru 1970) in Brooklyn, NY. We had a 20 yard pool - in the basement - with high walls and lots of waves.

I'm now fortunate enough to do most of my training in a beautiful 25-yard pool. But I do miss the training in a 20-yard pool with flat walls and lots of waves. I got more turn practice, and the waves made me work harder to have a smooth stroke.

Hi. Just watched your video-deep water running and your technique is fab. I have a broken foot at the moment and have negotiated a removable cast, but doing pull is getting so boring! Do you think deep water running would get me puffing a little more? I reckon I have no fast twitch muscles and only have one pace, so getting a decent work out doing pull alone is proving frustrating.

Hi, Seonaid
You should consult with your doctor before you try deep-water running with a broken foot. When I water-run, I move the ankles and toes quite a bit, so I imagine this would not be beneficial for bones that are trying to heal. Try to be patient while your body heals itself!

Hi Barbara! Want to ask you... is there only one hips up movement in one butterfly cycle?..
I think I sometimes do 2 of them, but now I am not sure how one fly cycle should be. ...
